Study on effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation combined with ozone ablation in improving cervical pain
Objective To observe the effectiveness of radiofrequency ablation combined with ozone ablation in improving cervical pain. Methods 90 patients with cervical pain were randomly divided into a control group(ozone ablation)and an observation group(ozone ablation combined with radiofrequency ablation),with 45 cases in each group. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared,as well as visual analogue scale(VAS),neck disability index(NDI),quality of life score and symptom score. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than 73.33%of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,VAS score of(1.89±0.48)points and NDI score of(18.14±1.69)points in the observation group were lower than(3.12±0.69)and(25.84±3.41)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of social function, body quality, role function and emotional function in the observation group were(79.42±3.07),(82.84±3.24),(85.84±3.14)and(82.27±3.41)points,which were higher than(74.15±2.29),(75.57±3.29),(74.44±3.67)and(74.56±3.87)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of tenderness, stiffness, neck muscle pain and neck mobility restriction in the observation group were(0.90±0.19),(0.89±0.21),(0.92±0.15)and(0.85±0.20)points,which were lower than(1.84±0.25),(1.79±0.31),(1.90±0.31)and(1.81±0.17)points in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Ozone ablation combined with radiofrequency ablation for patients with cervical pain can alleviate cervical pain, reduce the severity of clinical symptoms, and improve their quality of life, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
