Effect of butylphthalide combined with donepezil in the treatment of post-stroke cognitive impairment in the elderly
Objective To explore the effect of butylphthalide combined with donepezil in the treatment of post-stroke cognitive impairment in the elderly. Methods 92 elderly patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group by computer, with 46 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with butylphthalide and donepezil, and the control group was treated with butylphthalide. The clinical efficacy,Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MoCA)score and activities of daily living were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.65%,which was higher than 82.61%of the control group(P<0.05).After 1 month of treatment, the scores of visual space and executive power, language function, attention, memory, abstract generalization ability, orientation, naming and total score of the observation group were(3.97±0.34),(2.35±0.46),(4.75±0.22),(4.69±0.48),(1.89±0.42),(5.76±0.35),(2.87±0.32)and(25.38±3.44)points,which were higher than(3.49±0.23),(1.74±0.34),(4.10±0.45),(3.46±0.68),(1.16±0.48),(5.18±0.12),(2.35±0.43)and(22.34±3.28)points in the control group(P<0.05).After 1 week and 1 month of treatment, the Barthel index in the observation group were(67.05±4.38)and(75.65±5.13)points,which were significantly higher than(55.46±4.78)and(69.84±5.06)points in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of butylphthalide and donepezil in the treatment of elderly patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment has obvious curative effect, and can also promote the improvement of patients'activities of daily living, which is worthy of application.
