Analysis of the influence of acupuncture combined with massage on limb function and quality of life in elderly patients with cerebral infarction
Objective To analyze the influence of acupuncture combined with massage on limb function and quality of life in elderly patients with cerebral infarction. Methods 72 elderly patients with cerebral infarction were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table, with 36 cases in each group. The control group received conventional therapy and rehabilitation exercise, and the observation group was combined with acupuncture and massage therapy on the basis of the control group. The rehabilitation effect, neurological deficit, limb motor function, quality of life and independent living ability were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the Fugl-Meyer score of(80.27±6.52)points in the observation group was higher than(72.19±6.37)points in the control group, and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)score of(6.15±1.17)points was lower than(9.96±1.65)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the observation group had activities of daily living(ADL)score of(78.59±6.05)points and SF-36 score of(82.16±5.19)points,which were higher than(70.26±5.97)and(71.16±8.05)points in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of rehabilitation in the observation group was 97.22%,which was significantly higher than 83.33%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For elderly patients with cerebral infarction, combined acupuncture and massage therapy can improve the rehabilitation effect of patients, promote the recovery of limb function and nerve function, and significantly improve the independent living ability and quality of life of patients.
