Clinical study on the therapeutic effect of compound psyllium husk of medicine-food homologous on type 2 diabetes mellitus
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of compound psyllium husk of medicine-food homologous on type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to random numerical table,with 30 cases in each group.Both groups were given conventional Western medicine treatment,and the treatment group was given compound psyllium husk of medicine-food homologous on this basis.The efficacy,safety after treatment,glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c)and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results In the treatment group,13 cases were significantly effective,7 cases were effective,10 cases were ineffective.In the control group,4 cases were significantly effective,4 cases were effective,22 cases were ineffective.The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(Z=-3.135,P=0.002<0.05).After treatment,HbA1c in both groups decreased compared with that before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,there was no significant difference in HbA1c between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the main symptom score,secondary symptom score,tongue and pulse score,and total score in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment;in the treatment group,the main symptom score,secondary symptom score,tongue and pulse score,and total score were(0.43±0.68),(0.90±0.61),(0.90±0.94)and(2.23±1.14)points,which were lower than(1.87±0.82),(1.73±0.98),(1.37±0.81)and(4.97±1.35)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,there were no special abnormalities in electrocardiogram,blood routine,urine routine,stool routine,and no obvious drug toxicity and side effects.Conclusion Compound psyllium husk of medicine-food homologous is effective and safe in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus,and can more effectively improve the clinical symptoms and HbA1c of patients.
