Observation on the application effect of tele-rehabilitation therapy for patients after internal fixation of unilateral fracture around the knee
Objective To observe the feasibility and effectiveness of tele-rehabilitation therapy for patients after internal fixation of unilateral fracture around the knee(FAK)and whether it can be used as a rehabilitation model instead of outpatient rehabilitation. Methods 46 patients after internal fixation of unilateral FAK were divided into a control group and an observation group according to personal preference, with 23 cases in each group. Both groups of patients underwent routine nursing, rehabilitation guidance, and health education during the perioperative period. The patients in the control group went to the hospital outpatient department for face-to-face rehabilitation treatment with the therapist, while the patients in the observation group added WeChat to each other with the therapist and established a remote rehabilitation group chat for tele-rehabilitation therapy before discharge. The knee joint function and the activities of daily living before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, the modified Barthel index(MBI)score of the control group was(62.22±6.90)points,and the Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS)score was(51.55±7.92)points;the MBI score of the observation group was(62.50±6.17)points,and the HSS score was(52.45±8.04)points.After treatment, the MBI score and HSS score of the control group were(91.66±5.42)and(88.83±6.34)points,and those of the observation group were(90.75±4.94)and(88.30±6.05)points.After treatment,HSS score and MBI score in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in HSS score and MBI score between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of tele-rehabilitation is feasible and effective for patients after internal fixation of unilateral FAK,and because of its unique advantages,it can be used as an alternative to outpatient rehabilitation treatment.
