Effects of kyphoplasty combined with periodic rehabilitation training on postoperative VAS scores, lumbar function and recovery effect of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures
Objective To analyze the effects of kyphoplasty combined with periodic rehabilitation training on postoperative VAS scores, lumbar function and recovery effect of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. Methods 124 patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the odd-even date of consultation, with 62 cases in each group. The control group received routine postoperative rehabilitation treatment, and the observation group received periodic rehabilitation training. Both groups were compared in terms of visual analogue scale(VAS)score,Oswestry disability index(ODI)score, activities of daily living(ADL)score, vertebral rehabilitation indicators before and after treatment, and satisfaction. Results After treatment, the VAS and ODI scores in both groups of patients decreased, while the ADL score increased;VAS score of(2.66±0.54)points and ODI score of(19.74±1.51)points in the observation group were lower than(4.15±1.09)and(27.87±2.35)points in the control group;the ADL score of(85.39±9.72)points in the observation group was higher than(75.36±8.46)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the height of the posterior edge, height of the anterior edge, anterior and posterior edge height ratio of the injured vertebra in both groups increased;the height of the posterior edge, height of the anterior edge, anterior and posterior edge height ratio of the injured vertebra were(2.89±0.09)cm,(2.37±0.32)cm and(80.35±7.38)%in the observation group, which were higher than(2.79±0.08)cm,(2.13±0.26)cm and(72.44±5.17)%in the control group(P<0.05).The treatment satisfaction of 98.39%in the observation group was higher than 83.87%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of kyphoplasty and periodic rehabilitation training can reduce the postoperative VAS score of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, improve the lumbar function and improve the recovery effect, which is a treatment and rehabilitation program with high patient satisfaction.
