Clinical experience and experience in early treatment of proximal femoral fracture in the elderly
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of early treatment for proximal femoral fracture in the elderly. Methods A total of 68 elderly patients with proximal femoral fracture were randomly divided into an elective group and an early group, with 34 cases in each group. The elective group was treated with elective surgery, and the early group was treated with early surgery. The clinical efficacy, rehabilitation indicators(time to postoperative ambulation, time of fracture healing, postoperative hospitalization time)and hip function were compared between the two groups. Results The total excellent rate of the early group was 94.12% (32/34),which was significantly higher than 76.47% (26/34)of the elective group, and the difference was significant(χ2=4.2207,P=0.0399<0.05).The time to postoperative ambulation, the time of fracture healing and the postoperative hospitalization time in the early group were(42.01±4.75)h,(9.75±1.64)weeks and(6.41±0.71)d,which were shorter than(62.10±5.43)h,(14.61±2.30)weeks and(8.01±1.01)d in the elective group. The difference was significant(P<0.05).At 3 months postoperatively, the scores of pain, function and joint range of motion in the early group were(37.36±2.84),(43.14±3.22)and(4.12±0.36)points,which were higher than(31.12±3.24),(37.18±3.59)and(3.33±0.42)points in the elective group. The difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In elderly patients with proximal femoral fracture, the effect of early surgical treatment is more ideal, and the postoperative recovery is better, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
