Clinical observation of interferon combined with antiviral oral liquid in the treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease in young children
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of interferon combined with antiviral therapy in the treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease in young children. Methods A total of 50 patients with hand, foot and mouth disease were selected and randomly divided into a research group and a control group, with 25 cases in each group. Both groups of children received conventional treatment. The control group was treated with interferon, and the research group was treated with interferon and antiviral oral liquid. The recovery time of clinical indicators, positive rate of pathogens before and after treatment, therapeutic effect and therapeutic safety were compared between the two groups. Results The results showed that the body temperature recovery time of the research group was(2.59±0.84)d,the herpes disappearance time was(3.27±1.08)d,the rash disappearance time was(4.87±0.59)d,and the total treatment time was(5.08±1.38)d,which were shorter than(3.12±0.94),(4.51±1.27),(5.29±0.69),and(5.91±1.46)d of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,2 cases(8%)in the study group were positive for coxasckievirus A16,3 cases(12%)were positive for enterovirus, and 1 case(4%)was positive for enterovirus 71;8 cases(32%)in the control group were positive for coxasckievirus A16,9 cases(36%)were positive for enterovirus, and 6 cases(24%)was positive for enterovirus 71.Compared with the control group, the positive rates of coxasckievirus A16,enterovirus and enterovirus 71 in the study group were significantly lower, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the control group,12 cases(48%)were cured,9 cases(36%)were effective, and 4 cases(16%)were ineffective;in the study group,18 cases(72%)were cured,7 cases(28%)were effective and 0 case was ineffective. The total effective rate of the study group was 100%,which was higher than 84%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Interferon combined with antiviral oral liquid in the treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease in young children has rapid onset and high safety, and can reduce the positive rate of pathogens, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
