Case analysis of multi-site infection caused by hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a common opportunistic pathogen, based on its high virulent and prone metastatic infection, can cause respiratory system infection, urinary system infection, liver abscess, etc, and even develop into sepsis.According to its virulence characteristics,it can be divided into classical and hypervirulent klebsiella pneumoniae, and hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae infections often develop rapidly, involve the whole body, and are critically ill with poor prognosis and high mortality. This paper selects 3 cases of Klebsiella pneumoniae infection recently admitted to our hospital, all of which have multiple organ and tissue abscesses, accompanied by severe multi-organ damage, rapid progression of the disease,of which 1 patient died, and the remaining 2 patients with a long treatment time, delayed multiple sites of infection. This paper summarizes the characteristics and treatment regimen of the 3 patients and analyzes them retrospectively to provide reference for the clinical response to such infection, hoping that this pathogen will be taken seriously, and that targeted medication will be administered according to the drug sensitivity results at an early stage to shorten the hospitalization time of patients, improve the clinical therapeutic effect, and improve the prognosis.
