Efficacy analysis of anatomical double-bundle medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction with autologous semitendinosus under arthroscopy combined with Elmslie-Trillat technique in the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation
Objective To analyze the efficacy of anatomical double-bundle medial patellofemoral ligament(MPFL)reconstruction with autologous semitendinosus under arthroscopy combined with Elmslie-Trillat technique in the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation(RPD).Methods The clinical data of 21 patients with recurrent patellar dislocation were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with anatomical double-bundle medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction with autologous semitendinosus under arthroscopy combined with Elmslie-Trillat technique. The follow-up of patients was analyzed, and the scores of Tegner,Kujala and Lysholm before and after surgery were compared. Results All patients were effectively followed up for 1-3 years, with an average of 1.5 years.2 months after surgery, all patients could exercise normally without fear.1 month after surgery, the scores of Tegner,Kujala and Lysholm were(5.45±1.24),(92.71±3.51)and(91.62±2.77)points,which were significantly higher than(3.06±0.91),(50.23±3.84)and(54.12±2.90)points before surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion Anatomical double-bundle medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction with autologous semitendinosus under arthroscopy combined with Elmslie-Trillat technique is effective in treating recurrent patellar dislocation, which can effectively restore the anatomical structure of the knee joint and improve the knee joint function.
