Comparison of clinical effect of all-ceramic body and composite resin body in restoration of maxillary anterior tooth defect
Objective To study the clinical effect of all-ceramic body and composite resin body in restoration of maxillary anterior tooth defect. Methods This study selected 200 patients with maxillary anterior tooth defects(268 teeth)and randomly divided them into a control group(100 cases,135 teeth)and an experimental group(100 cases,133 teeth). The control group was restored by composite resin body, and the experimental group was restored by all-ceramic body. The quality of life score, cosmetic dental restoration outcome score, functional dental restoration outcome score, occurrence of adverse reactions, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of physical pain, physical function, living ability, social function, mental health and health status in the experimental group were(51.20±4.22),(52.28±4.36),(49.84±4.65),(50.38±4.68),(49.69±5.03)and(52.28±4.85)points,which were higher than(40.23±5.58),(41.87±5.98),(39.96±5.06),(40.44±5.54),(40.37±5.33)and(41.26±5.71)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of shape, marginal fit, smooth texture, moderate color,no staining of margins, and overall outcome score of the affected teeth in the experimental group were(88.54±10.62),(87.23±10.36),(89.93±10.84),(88.24±11.01),(89.58±10.70),and(88.85±10.96)points,which were higher than(75.59±10.87),(76.52±11.24),(75.69±12.30),(74.53±12.08),(76.58±12.74),and(75.55±12.20)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of fixed position, gingival condition, absence of secondary diseases, masticatory function, absence of residue, and overall outcome score of the affected teeth in the experimental group were(87.69±10.32),(89.64±10.77),(88.65±10.52),(86.61±10.03),(86.20±10.69),and(87.75±10.51)points,which were higher than(74.06±12.22),(72.65±12.08),(73.62±11.41),(74.67±11.78),(75.55±12.43),and(74.13±11.88)points in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 15.04%,which was lower than 31.11%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of the experimental group was 98.00%,which was higher than 72.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of all-ceramic restorations in maxillary anterior tooth defects can effectively improve the tooth function of patients and improve their quality of life, which is an effective restoration method.
