Clinical value analysis of oral itraconazole combined with topical antifungal drugs in the treatment of generalized tinea corporis
Objective To analyze the effectiveness of oral itraconazole combined with topical antifungal drugs in the treatment of generalized tinea corporis. Methods 50 patients with generalized tinea corporis were studied and divided into a reference group and a treatment group by double-blind grouping method, with 25 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with topical antifungal drugs alone, and the treatment group was treated with oral itraconazole and topical antifungal drugs.Comparison was made on excellent rate of treatment, fungal clearance rate, recurrence rate, incidence of adverse reactions, time of rash improvement, time of rash complete resolution, and the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and C-reactive protein(CRP)between the two groups. Results The treatment group had fungal clearance rate of 96.00%and excellent rate of treatment of 92.00%,which were significantly higher than 72.00%and 68.00%in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group had significantly lower recurrence rate of 4.00%than 24.00%in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The time of rash improvement and time of rash complete resolution in the treatment group were(2.25±1.05)and(6.57±2.06)d,which were significantly shorter than(3.69±1.12)and(9.79±2.63)d in the reference group;the treatment group had TNF-α of(1.52±0.40)μg/L and CRP of(25.15±3.26)mg/L,which were lower than(1.92±0.41)μg/L and(29.53±3.30)mg/L in the reference group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Oral itraconazole and topical antifungal drugs are safe and effective in the treatment of generalized tinea corporis, which can improve rash symptoms in a short time, reduce disease recurrence and promote the prognosis of patients.
