Observation on clinical effect of cetirizine combined with modified Xijiao Dihuang Decoction in the treatment of children with henoch schonlein purpura(blood heat and blood stasis syndrome)
Objective To explore the clinical effect of cetirizine combined with modified Xijiao Dihuang Decoction in the treatment of children with henoch schonlein purpura(blood heat and blood stasis syndrome).Methods 60 children with henoch schonlein purpura(blood heat and blood stasis syndrome)were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given cetirizine treatment,and the observation group was given modified Xijiao Dihuang Decoction on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,symptom remission time,recurrence rate and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 96.67%,which was higher than 73.33%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The remission time of skin symptoms,joint symptoms and gastrointestinal symptoms in the observation group were(6.61±1.11),(3.18±0.68)and(11.46±2.25)d,which were shorter than(11.71±1.57),(7.77±1.39)and(20.21±4.27)d in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The recurrence rate of 6.67%in the observation group was significantly lower than 30.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Cetirizine combined with modified Xijiao Dihuang Decoction has significant clinical effect in the treatment of children with henoch schonlein purpura(blood heat and blood stasis syndrome),which can shorten the remission time of symptoms,reduce the recurrence rate,and have less adverse reactions,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
