Clinical efficacy of micro-root canal therapy combined with ultrasound technology on irreversible pulpitis
Objective To observe the effect of micro-root canal therapy combined with ultrasound technology on irreversible pulpitis. Methods 60 patients with irreversible pulpitis were selected for basic study and divided into a control group(30 cases)and an observation group(30 cases)according to different treatment methods. The control group was treated with conventional root canal therapy, and the observation group was treated with micro-root canal therapy combined with ultrasound. The pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)]score, clinical symptom score, inflammatory factors[interleukin-1β(IL-1β),C-reactive protein,P substance(SP)],comfort level[general comfort questionnaire(GCQ)score]before and after treatment, and treatment effect were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the VAS score in both groups was lower than that before treatment in this group, and the VAS score of(2.65±0.27)points in the observation group was lower than(3.21±0.38)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of clinical symptoms such as tooth sensitivity, tooth looseness and occlusal discomfort in both groups were lower than those before treatment in this group;the scores of clinical symptoms such as tooth sensitivity, tooth looseness and occlusal discomfort in the observation group were(1.35±0.20),(1.15±0.12)and(1.29±0.10)points,which were lower than(1.80±0.28),(1.67±0.33)and(1.72±0.26)points in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-1β,CRP and SP in both groups were lower than those before treatment in this group;the levels of IL-1β,CRP and SP in the observation group were(102.49±3.03)pg/ml,(2.13±0.21)mg/L and(392.56±65.91)pg/ml,which were lower than(137.82±5.10)pg/ml,(3.95±0.36)mg/L and(435.70±69.15)pg/ml in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the GCQ scores of physiology, psychology, society and environment in both groups were higher than those before treatment in this group, and the GCQ scores of physiology, psychology, society and environment in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of 90.00%in the observation group was higher than 66.67%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Micro-root canal therapy combined with ultrasound technology can improve the clinical treatment effect of irreversible pulpitis, improve the pain and clinical symptoms of patients, and help the affected teeth to return to normal state as soon as possible.
