Clinical efficacy of resin filling combined with multiple coronally advanced flap technique in the treatment of non-carious cervical lesions complicated with gingival recession
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of resin filling combined with multiple coronally advanced flap technique in the treatment of non-carious cervical lesions complicated with gingival recession. Methods 62 patients with non-carious cervical lesions combined with gingival recession were randomly divided into a reference group and an experimental group, with 31 cases in each group. The reference group was treated with resin filling alone, while the experimental group was treated with resin filling combined with multiple coronally advanced flap technique. The periodontal parameters and degree of dental esthetics before and after treatment, and complications of the two groups were observed and compared. Results After treatment, the periodontal depth(PD),gingival bleeding index(BI),plaque index(PLI),gingival recession height(GRH),gingival recession width(GRW)and clinical attachment level(CAL)in both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment;the experimental group had PD of(1.35±0.45)mm,BI of(0.49±0.51)min,PLI of(0.41±0.08)min,GRH of(0.40±0.05)mm,GRW of(1.02±1.08)mm and CAL of(0.62±1.07)mm,which were significantly lower than(1.56±0.35))mm,(1.26±0.07)min,(1.35±0.08)min,(0.72±0.07)mm,(1.67±1.09)mm and(1.42±1.03)mm in the reference group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of aesthetics of gingival margin position, gingival margin morphology, gingival color, and membrane-gingival joint position in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment;the scores of aesthetics of gingival margin position, gingival margin morphology, gingival color, and membrane-gingival joint position in the experimental group were(8.09±1.25),(9.70±1.84),(9.13±1.41),(9.89±1.08)and(8.17±1.48)points,which were higher than(6.12±1.14),(6.82±1.63),(7.03±1.31),(6.74±1.42)and(6.58±1.31)points in the reference group(P<0.05).The complication rate of the experimental group was 6.45%,which was lower than 25.81%of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of non-carious cervical lesions complicated with gingival recession, resin filling combined with multiple coronally advanced flap technique is more beneficial to improving periodontal parameters, restoring dental aesthetics, and has a lower complication rate, which is more conducive to improving patients'quality of life, and is worthy of promotion.
