Application value of detection of plasma D-dimer in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer
Objective To explore the application value of detection of plasma D-dimer in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer. Methods A total of 60 esophageal cancer patients who underwent surgical treatment were selected as the esophageal cancer group. The plasma D-dimer level was detected before operation,on the 1st day after operation, and on the 14th day after operation.Another 60 healthy subjects were selected as the control group, and plasma D-dimer levels were detected during physical examination.Comparison was made on D-dimer level and D-dimer positivity rate between the esophageal cancer group before treatment and the control group,D-dimer levels preoperatively and postoperatively in the esophageal cancer group,as well as D-dimer levels and D-dimer positivity rate of patients with different clinical features in the esophageal cancer group. Results The preoperative D-dimer level in the esophageal cancer group was(0.65±0.25)mg/L,which was significantly higher than(0.32±0.16)mg/L in the control group(P<0.05);the preoperative D-dimer positivity rate in the esophageal cancer group was 35.00%(21/60),which was significantly higher than 15.00%(9/60)in the control group(P<0.05).The D-dimer level in the esophageal cancer group was(1.21±0.49)mg/L on the 1st day after operation, which was significantly higher than(0.65±0.25)mg/L before operation(P<0.05).The D-dimer level was(0.35±0.15)mg/L in the esophageal cancer group on the 14th day after operation, which was significantly lower than(0.65±0.25)mg/L before operation(P<0.05).In the esophageal cancer group, there were no differences in preoperative D-dimer level among patients with different sex(male and female),age(<70 years old,≥70 years old)and tumor site(upper thoracic segment, middle thoracic segment, lower thoracic segment and esophagogastric junction)(P>0.05).The difference in preoperative D-dimer levels of patients with different degree of differentiation and postoperative pathological stages in the esophageal cancer group was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the esophageal cancer group, there were no differences in preoperative D-dimer positivity rate among patients with different sex(male and female),age(<70 years old,≥70 years old)and tumor site(upper thoracic segment, middle thoracic segment, lower thoracic segment and esophagogastric junction)(P>0.05).The difference in preoperative D-dimer positivity rate of patients with different differentiation and postoperative pathological stages in the esophageal cancer group was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The detection of plasma D-dimer level has certain practical value in the diagnosis of esophageal cancer.
