The impact of the national centralized procurement of drugs in psychiatric hospital on the cost of outpatient drugs
Objective To observe the impact of the national centralized procurement of drugs in psychiatric hospital on the cost of outpatient drugs.Methods Drug purchase cost data of outpatients after the national centralized purchase of drugs(April 1 to November 30,2020 and April 1 to November 30,2021)were selected from HIS system,and compared with those before the national centralized purchase of drugs(April 1 to November 30,2019).The changes of average outpatient drug cost per-time,average drug collection cost per-time and average drug cost per-time after the use of national centralized procurement of drugs were analyzed.Results After the implementation of the national centralized procurement of drugs and the use of pilot,the average outpatient drug cost per-time decreased from 77.68 yuan to 27.21 yuan,with a year-on-year decrease of 64.97%.The average drug collection cost per-time decreased from 71.68 yuan to 25.95 yuan,with a year-on-year decrease of 63.80%.After the implementation of the national centralized procurement of drugs and the use of pilot,the average drug collection cost per-time had decreased significantly,with an average decrease of 25.86%in 2020 and 38.90%in 2021.Among them,olanzapine has the smallest decrease,with a decrease of 15.08%in 2020 and 32.37%in 2021,respectively,and the average cost per-time has decreased from 378.08 yuan in 2019 to 321.05 yuan in 2020 and 255.68 yuan in 2021.Amlodipine had the largest decrease,with a decrease of 94.09%in 2020 and 95.69%in 2021,respectively,and the average cost per-time decreased from 69.88 yuan in 2019 to 4.13 yuan in 2020 and 3.01 yuan in 2021.Conclusion By comparing data from April to November 2020 and from April to November 2021 collected after the implementation of the policy in our hospital with that from April to November 2019 before collection,the introduction of the national centralized procurement of drugs policy has a greater reduction in the outpatient drug cost in psychiatric hospitals,which can effectively reduce the financial burden of patients.
