Effect of meticulous capsular dissection on recurrent laryngeal nerve in patients undergoing total thyroidectomy
Objective To analyze the clinical value of meticulous capsular dissection on recurrent laryngeal nerve in patients undergoing total thyroidectomy. Methods 60 patients with thyroid cancer were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional total thyroidectomy, and the observation group applied meticulous capsular dissection during total thyroidectomy. The operation related indexes and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had less intraoperative blood loss of(26.31±2.29)ml than(40.46±4.57)ml in the control group;the operation time of the observation group was(54.26±5.08)min and the recovery time of recurrent laryngeal nerve function was(26.37±2.59)d,which were shorter than(63.89±7.31)min and(58.59±6.48)d in the control group;there was a statistical difference(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 6.67%(2/30),which was lower than 26.67%(8/30)in the control group, and there was a statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of meticulous capsular dissection in total thyroidectomy has significant effects, which can reduce the blood loss of patients, shorten the operation time, promote the recovery of recurrent laryngeal nerve function of thyroid cancer patients, and there are fewer complications. It has a certain application value and is worthy of clinical promotion.
