Effect analysis of Chanqin granule in treating cough variant asthma
Objective To analyze the effect of Chanqin granule in treating cough variant asthma.Methods A total of 66 patients with cough variant asthma were studied and divided into a conventional group and a study group by random sampling method,with 33 cases in each group.The conventional group was treated with conventional Western medicine,and the study group was treated with conventional Western medicine combined with Chanqin granule.The therapeutic effect,incidence of adverse reactions,improvement time of cough symptoms,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,cough symptom score and inflammatory mediator levels between were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was 96.97%,which was higher than 78.79%of the conventional group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 3.03%,which was lower than 24.24%in the conventional group(P<0.05).The time of cessation of nighttime cough,time of cough subsidence,and time of cough relief in the study group were(6.30±1.18),(11.41±4.31),and(5.01±1.31)d,which were shorter than(10.53±3.43),(15.73±3.42),and(9.73±3.13)d in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores of cough,pharyngeal itching,phlegm volume,nasal congestion,and wheezing in the study group were(0.26±0.41),(0.55±0.60),(0.11±0.33),(0.41±0.42),and(0.27±0.41)points,which were lower than(0.78±0.82),(1.24±0.94),(0.71±0.63),(0.89±0.86),and(0.55±0.64)points in the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment,the daytime cough,nighttime cough,and total cough scores of the study group were(0.67±0.72),(0.33±0.42),and(1.00±1.20)points,which were lower than(1.21±1.15),(1.45±0.35),and(2.66±1.67)points of the conventional group(P<0.05).After treatment,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin-6,and interleukin-10 in the study group were(0.54±0.02)μg/L,(16.18±2.65)ng/L,and(3.75±0.84)ng/L,which were lower than(0.89±0.46)μg/L,(20.79±4.49)ng/L,and(7.13±1.44)ng/L in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of Chanqin granule combined with Western medicine in the treatment of patients with cough variant asthma can improve the cough symptoms of patients and promote the improvement of patients'disease,and has high clinical application value.
