Clinical observation of modified Yueju Decoction in treating functional constipation with qi stagnation and dampness obstruction
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of modified Yueju Decoction in treating functional constipation with qi stagnation and dampness obstruction. Methods 96 patients with functional constipation of qi stagnation and dampness obstruction were randomly divided into a control group and a traditional Chinese medicine group, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mosapride citrate tablets, while the traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with modified Yuegju Decoction. The scores of constipation symptoms before and after treatment and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the scores of fecal traits,fall/tenesmus/distension,defecation effort, defecation frequency, defecation time and abdominal distension in both groups were all lower than those before treatment;in the traditional Chinese medicine group, the score of fecal traits was(0.35±0.48)points,the score of fall/tenesmus/distension was(0.27±0.45)points,the score of defecation effort was(0.52±0.68)points,the score of defecation frequency was 0 points, the score of defecation time was(0.04±0.20)points,and the score of abdominal distension was(0.23±0.42)points,which were lower than(1.52±0.54),(1.50±0.48),(1.15±0.77),(0.94±0.63),(0.73±0.68),and(1.17±0.56)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of traditional Chinese medicine group was 100.00%,which was higher than the control group's 77.08%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Yueju Decoction can effectively improve the symptoms of patients with functional constipation of qi stagnation and dampness obstruction, and the clinical effect is significant.
