Influences of specimen hemolysis on the liver function, blood lipid, electrolyte and myocardial enzyme in the biochemical test
Objective To analyze the influences of specimen hemolysis on the liver function, blood lipid, electrolyte and myocardial enzyme in the biochemical test. Methods 120 patients undergoing the biochemical test were selected.Patients were randomly assigned to a reference group(routine specimen storage)and a study group(light specimen hemolysis),each with 60 cases. The biochemical analyzer was applied to measure the laboratory indicators.Under the same experimental conditions,a biochemical analyzer was used to detect and compare the liver function indexes[total bilirubin(TBIL),direct bilirubin(DBIL),aspartare aminotransferase(AST)],lipid indexes[total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)],electrolyte indexes(potassium, sodium, chloride, calcium),cardiac enzymes[creatine kinase(CK),creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB)].Results The study group had potassium of(6.22±0.31)mmol/L,chlorine of(104.84±3.26)mmol/L,calcium of(3.01±0.19)mmol/L,CK of(144.10±15.02)U/L,CK-MB of(19.85±2.98)U/L,which were higher than(4.11±0.09),(95.65±6.56),(2.25±0.11)mmol/L,(85.46±7.88),(8.32±1.01)U/L in the reference group(P<0.05).There was no difference in sodium level between the two groups(P>0.05).The study group had AST of(84.45±3.62)U/L,TG of(1.29±0.24)mmol/L and TC of(9.74±1.03)mmol/L,which were higher than(70.29±2.33)U/L,(0.78±0.07)mmol/L and(6.72±0.94)mmol/L in the reference group;the study group had TBIL of(8.22±1.08)μmol/L and DBIL of(4.16±0.82)μmol/L,which were lower than(14.15±1.16)and(9.56±1.12)μmol/L in the reference group(P<0.05).There was no differences in LDL-C and HDL-C levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The specimen hemolysis may affect the accuracy of some biochemical test results and interfere with clinical laboratory results. Thus the specimen hemolysis shall be concerned and avoided in clinical examination.
