Effect analysis of risperidone combined with olanzapine on thyroid hormone levels in patients with schizophrenia
Objective To analyze the effect of risperidone combined with olanzapine on thyroid hormone levels in patients with schizophrenia. Methods 90 schizophrenic patients were collected, and risperidone combined with olanzapine was provided for treatment. The thyroid hormone levels before and after treatment were compared. Results After treatment, patients had serum triiodothyronine of(2.21±0.39)nmol/L,thyroxine of(136.18±22.52)nmol/L,free triiodothyronine of(4.10±1.39)pmol/L,free thyroxine of(18.08±5.29)pmol/L and thyroid stimulating hormone of(4.08±0.95)mIU/L,which were higher than(1.69±0.51)nmol/L,(88.18±23.26)nmol/L,(2.81±1.14)pmol/L,(11.21±2.44)pmol/L and(2.76±0.51)mIU/L before treatment. There was statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Risperidone combined with olanzapine is effective in patients with schizophrenia, but close monitoring of thyroid hormone levels and adverse drug reactions is needed to ensure the safety and efficacy of treatment.
