Clinical observation on the therapeutic effect of Houyanqing granules on acute pharyngitis with lung stomach excess heat syndrome
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Houyanqing granules on acute pharyngitis with lung stomach excess heat syndrome.Methods 60 patients with acute pharyngitis with lung stomach excess heat syndrome were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with cefdinir capsules,and the observation group was treated with Houyanqing granule on the basis of the control group.Both groups were compared in terms of clinical efficacy,degree of pharyngeal pain and pharyngeal mucosal congestion before and after treatment,time of disappearance of clinical symptoms,levels of serum inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]before and after treatment,and occurrence of adverse reactions.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was much higher than the control group's 73.33%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the VAS scores of pharyngeal pain and pharyngeal mucosal congestion in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment;the VAS scores of pharyngeal pain and pharyngeal mucosal congestion in the observation group were(2.07±1.28)and(2.10±1.21)points,which were lower than(2.83±1.37)and(3.23±1.48)points in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The disappearance time of sore throat,dry throat,hoarseness and cough in the observation group were(4.10±0.92),(6.13±1.04),(2.77±0.94)and(2.13±0.35)d,which were shorter than(5.17±0.87),(7.10±0.12),(3.60±1.13)and(2.80±0.76)d in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the serum levels of CRP,IL-6,IL-1β and TNF-α in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No obvious adverse reactions were observed in both groups during treatment.Conclusion Houyanqing granules has good efficacy in the treatment of acute pharyngitis with lung stomach excess heat syndrome,which can quickly relieve symptoms and inhibit inflammatory response,and it is safe and effective.
