Research progress of TLR4-mediated inflammatory response in acute kidney injury
Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common perioperative complication, which is common in patients after trauma or infection. Its main feature is a sharp decline in glomerular filtration rate, impaired renal tubular function, resulting in the accumulation of metabolites and electrolyte disorders in the body. The pathogenesis of AKI is related to the inflammatory response.Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)plays a role in pathogen recognition and innate immune activation in the inflammatory response, and its mediated inflammatory response plays a key role in the pathogenesis of acute kidney injury.Clinically, early treatment can be performed by interfering with the TLR4-mediated inflammatory response, thereby effectively reducing the incidence of acute kidney injury, delaying disease progression, and improving the prognosis of patients. This article will review the research progress of TLR4 structure and ligand,TLR4 expression,TLR4 intracellular signal transduction, and molecular compounds targeting TLR4.
