Analysis of the clinical efficacy of transurethral red laser enucleation for giant prostatic hyperplasia
Objective To explore the efficacy of transurethral red laser enucleation for giant prostatic hyperplasia. Methods 160 patients with giant prostatic hyperplasia(volume>80 ml)were divided into a control group and a study group using randomized numerical table method, each consisting of 80 patients. The control group performed transurethral resection of prostate, and the study group performed transurethral red laser enucleation. The surgical indicators, symptom scores, maximum urinary flow rate, residual urine volume, and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The study group had operation time of(58.32±6.02)min and hospital stay of(6.23±1.02)d,which were shorter than(70.57±7.21)min and(7.88±1.06)d in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss was(166.11±8.22)ml in the study group, which was less than(319.21±7.21)m in the control group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),maximum urinary flow rate and residual urine volume between the two groups before and 3 months after surgery(P>0.05).At 3 months after surgery,IPSS score, maximum urinary flow rate and residual urine volume in both groups were improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the study group was 1.25%,which was lower than 11.25%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Transurethral red laser enucleation has better efficacy, less traumatic, higher safety factor, faster postoperative recovery and less complications than traditional transurethral resection of prostate.
