The effect of aripiprazole combined with lithium carbonate in the treatment of manic episode of bipolar disorder and its influence on quality of life of patients
Objective To study the effect of aripiprazole combined with lithium carbonate in the treatment of manic episode of bipolar disorder and its influence on quality of life of patients.Methods A total of 132 patients with manic episodes of bipolar disorder were divided into a reference group(n=66,treated with lithium carbonate)and an experimental group(n=66,treated with aripiprazole and lithium carbonate)by random number table method.The efficacy,quality of life,manic state and inflammation level before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the scores of physical health,social relations,mental health and surrounding environment between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of physical health,social relations,mental health and surrounding environment of the experimental group were(81.36±4.21),(82.47±3.97),(83.08±4.47)and(85.35±2.79)points,which were significantly better than(75.27±3.99),(76.78±3.90),(77.17±4.23)and(80.46±2.67)points of the reference group(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the scores of the Baker-Raphson Mania Scale(BRMS)and the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-6(IL-6)between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the experimental group had BRMS score of(16.16±1.42)points,TNF-α of(120.77±13.48)ng/L and IL-6 of(32.66±4.13)pg/ml,which were significantly lower than(20.01±1.68)points,(137.82±16.07)ng/L and(38.15±4.40)pg/ml in the reference group(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 95.45%in the experimental group,which was significantly higher than 78.79%in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combined treatment of aripiprazole and lithium carbonate in patients with manic episode of bipolar disorder is more ideal,which is more beneficial to the improvement of manic state,quality of life and inflammation level of patients,and is worth promoting.
