Comparison of Neuroform Atlas stent and Enterprise stent assisted spring coil embolization in the treatment of intracranial wide-necked aneurysms
Objective To explore the effect of Neuroform Atlas stent and Enterprise stent assisted spring coil embolization in the treatment of intracranial wide-necked aneurysms(IWA).Methods 72 patients with IWA were selected and randomly divided into group A and group B,with 36 cases in each group.Group A received Neuroform Atlas stent assisted spring coil embolization,while group B received Enterprise stent assisted spring coil embolization.The Raymond grading,cerebral blood perfusion,modified Rankin scale(mRS)score and complication rate were compared between the two groups.Results The percentage of Raymond grade Ⅰ in group A and group B immediately after surgery were 75.00%(27/36)and 66.67%(24/36),and the difference was not significant in comparison(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in Raymond grading between the two groups(P>0.05).The percentage of Raymond grade Ⅰ in group A was 83.33%(30/36)at 6 months after surgery,which was higher than 61.11%(22/36)in group B(P<0.05).Raymond grading of group A was better than that of group B at 6 months after surgery(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in regional cerebral blood volume(rCBV)and intracranial pressure(ICP)between group A and group B(P>0.05).At 6 months after surgery,rCBV of group A and group B was higher than that before surgery,ICP was lower than that before surgery;group A had rCBV of(2.18±0.42)ml/100 g,which was higher than(1.95±0.33)ml/100 g of group B;group A had ICP of(16.24±2.63)mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),which was lower than(18.52±2.70)mm Hg of group B(P<0.05).After 6 months of follow-up,the percentage of mRS scores of 0-2 points in group A was 94.44%,which was higher than 77.78%in group B(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with Enterprise stents,Neuroform Atlas stents assisted with spring coil embolization have a higher complete occlusion rate for IWA,and can better improve cerebral blood flow perfusion and short-term prognosis in patients.The incidence of complications is similar between the two stents.
