The therapeutic efficacy of sodium aescinate for injection in the treatment of postoperative swelling of the oral and maxillofacial region
Objective To analyze the effect of sodium aescinate for injection in the treatment of postoperative swelling of the oral and maxillofacial region. Methods 84 patients with postoperative swelling of the oral and maxillofacial region were divided into a routine group and a study group by random sampling method, with 42 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with mannitol, and the study group was treated with sodium aescinate for injection. The efficacy, pain score, swelling degree, pain intensity, and incidence of postoperative infection and scarring were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 97.62%,which was higher than 80.95%of the conventional group, and the difference was statistically valuable(P<0.05).The pain scores of the study group were(2.71±0.36),(4.22±0.50)and(4.31±0.40)points,which were lower than(3.28±0.87),(4.84±0.85)and(5.14±0.75)points of the routine group, and the difference was statistically valuable(P<0.05).The degree of swelling in the routine group was grade 0 in 19 cases(45.24%),grade 1 in 2 cases(4.76%),grade 2 in 13 cases(30.95%)and grade 3 in 8 cases(19.05%);the degree of swelling in the study group was grade 0 in 29 cases(69.05%),grade 1 in 8 cases(19.05%),grade 2 in 5 cases(11.90%)and grade 3 in 0 cases. The degree of swelling in the study group was lower than that in the routine group, and the difference was statistically valuable(P<0.05).The pain intensity in the study group was grade 0 in 28 cases(66.67%),grade 1 in 10 cases(23.81%),grade 2 in 4 cases(9.52%),and grade 3 in 0;the pain intensity in the routine group was grade 0 in 18 cases(42.86%),grade 1 in 3 cases(7.14%),grade 2 in 14 cases(33.33%),and grade 3 in 7 cases(16.67%).The pain intensity of the study group was lower than that of the routine group, and the difference was statistically valuable(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative infection and scarring in the study group was 2.38%and 4.76%,which were lower than 19.05%and 23.81%in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically valuable(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of sodium aescinate for injection shows significant efficacy for patients with postoperative swelling of the oral and maxillofacial region, which can improve the postoperative swelling, reduce the pain intensity of patients, and the incidence of postoperative infection is low.It has high clinical application value.
