Study on the efficacy of posterior decompression and fusion with internal fixation by nail-stick system on lumbar spinal stenosis and its influence on lumbar function of patients
Objective To analyze the effect of posterior decompression and fusion with internal fixation by nail-stick system on lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods 76 patients with lumbar spinal stenosis were studied and divided into a conventional group and a study group by random sampling method, each with 38 cases. The conventional group was treated with posterior spinal canal decompression alone, while the study group was treated with posterior decompression and fusion with internal fixation by nail-stick system. The treatment outcomes, lumbar function, functional impairment score, intervertebral motion, intervertebral height index and pain intensity score were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of 94.74%in the study group was higher than 78.95%in the conventional group, with a significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).At 3,6,9 and 12 months after treatment, the lumbar function scores of the study group were(5.44±1.28),(6.54±1.32),(7.68±1.36)and(8.45±1.69)points,the functional impairment scores were(24.35±6.64),(20.72±9.43),(16.73±7.47)and(13.75±5.36)points;the lumbar function scores of the conventional group were(3.33±1.07),(4.43±1.21),(5.57±1.24)and(6.34±1.53)points,and the functional impairment scores were(30.46±7.75),(28.83±10.54),(26.84±10.58)and(20.86±10.47)points.Compared with the conventional group, the lumbar function scores of the study group at 3,6,9 and 12 months after treatment were higher, and the functional impairment scores were lower, with significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).Compared with the conventional group, the study group had lower intervertebral motion and higher intervertebral height index at 3,6,9 and 12 months after treatment, with significant differences between the groups(P<0.05).Compared with the conventional group, the pain intensity scores of the study group at 3,6,9 and 12 months after treatment were lower than those of the conventional group, with significant difference between the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Posterior decompression and fusion with internal fixation by nail-stick system can improve the lumbar function of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis, the treatment effect is remarkable, and the clinical application value is high.
