Study of the clinical effect of pholcodine combined with cefazolin sodium in the treatment of acute bronchitis
Objective To analyze the efficacy of pholcodine combined with cefazolin sodium in the treatment of acute bronchitis. Methods A total of 70 patients with acute bronchitis were included. The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group by lottery method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cefazolin sodium, and the observation group was treated with pholcodine+cefazolin sodium.Patients in both groups were compared in terms of serum inflammatory factors[interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-6(IL-6),procalcitonin(PCT)],occurrence of adverse reactions, symptom remission time, therapeutic effect, lung function[forced vital capacity(FVC),respiratory time ratio(Ti/Te),tidal volume(VT),and peak expiratory flow rate(PEFR)]before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the observation group had IL-4 of(1.76±0.21)pg/ml,IL-6 of(23.65±2.31)ng/L and PCT of(3.19±0.21)μg/L,which were lower than(3.18±0.21)pg/ml,(37.63±2.01)ng/L and(6.36±0.22)μg/L in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in both groups was 5.71%,with no significant difference(P>0.05).The remission time of cough, pulmonary rale, fever and expectoration in the observation group were(4.31±1.35),(3.64±1.54),(2.48±0.21)and(4.32±1.01)d,which were shorter than(5.67±1.78),(4.41±1.51),(3.55±1.63),(5.31±1.03)d in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.14%,which was higher than 74.29%of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the observation group had FVC of(2.76±0.21)L,Ti/Te of(76.03±0.21)%,VT of(9.37±0.21)ml/kg and PEFR of(3.78±0.21)L/s,which were higher than(2.36±0.12)L,(62.61±0.21)%,(7.26±0.33)ml/kg and(2.65±0.21)L/s in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Combination of pholcodine and cefazolin sodium has remarkable effect on the treatment of acute bronchitis, which can not only improve inflammatory factors and lung function of patients, but also improve the overall treatment effect with high medication safety.
