Correlation analysis of small dense low-density lipoprotein cholesterol with severity of coronary artery lesion
Objective To explore the correlation of small dense low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(sdLDL-C)with severity of coronary artery lesion,so as to provide a new laboratory index for the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease. Methods A total of 211 patients undergoing coronary angiography were selected for study. The coronary angiography report showed 0 coronary artery stenoses in 7 cases,1 stenosis in 48 cases,2 stenoses in 63 cases),and 3 stenoses in 93 cases, with coronary artery stenosis<30%in 19 cases, stenosis of 30%-80%in 78 cases,stenosis>80%in 114 cases.Serological parameters[total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),sdLDL-C]were detected in all subjects. The sdLDL-C/LDL-C and sdLDL-C/HDL-C were calculated and their Gensini scores were assessed.Gender, age and Gensini score were compared in patients with different numbers and degrees of coronary artery stenosis, and the correlation of the number and degree of coronary artery stenosis with gender, age and Gensini score was analyzed.Serological parameters,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C and Gensini score were compared in patients with different number and degree of coronary artery stenosis, and the correlation of the severity of coronary artery lesion with serological parameters and Gensini score was analyzed. Results There were significant differences in age and Gensini score among patients with different numbers and degrees of coronary artery stenosis(P<0.05).There was no difference in gender among patients with different numbers and degrees of coronary artery stenosis(P>0.05).The numbers and degrees of coronary artery stenosis were positively correlated with age and Gensini score(P<0.05),and had no correlation with gender(P>0.05).Comparison of TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C,and Gensini score in patients with different number and degrees of coronary artery stenosis showed significant differences(P<0.05).TG,sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C and Gensini score increased with the increase of the number of coronary artery stenosis.TC and LDL-C were the highest in patients with 3 stenoses, and HDL-C was the lowest in patients with 3 stenoses stenosis.TC,TG,LDL-C,sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C,and Gensini score increased with increasing coronary artery stenosis, and HDL-C decreased with increasing coronary artery stenosis(P<0.05).The number of coronary artery stenosis was negatively correlated with HDL-C(r=-0.180,P<0.05),and positively correlated with sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C(r=0.165,0.200,0.186;P<0.05).The degree of coronary artery stenosis was positively correlated with sdLDL-C,sdLDL-C/LDL-C,sdLDL-C/HDL-C and Gensini score(r=0.149,0.155,0.155,0.672;P<0.05).Gensini score was negatively correlated with HDL-C(r=-0.157,P<0.05)and positively correlated with LDL-C,sdLDL-C and sdLDL-C/HDL-C(r=0.161,0.158,0.177;P<0.05).Conclusion The sdLDL-C and sdLDL-C/HDL-C can be used as new indexes for pervention and treatment of coronary heart disease.
