Analysis of the recent efficacy of OLIF in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation
Objective To analyze the recent efficacy of oblique lateral interbody fusion(OLIF)in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 48 LDH patients were divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table, each consisting of 24 patients. The control group received posterior lumbar interbody fusion(PLIF)treatment, while the observation group received OLIF treatment. The perioperative indicators, degree of pain, functional impairment, imaging parameters were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time was(150.23±17.45)min in the observation group,and(145.23±13.25)min in the control group. There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups(P>0.05).The intraoperative bleeding volume of(274.15±52.34)ml in the observation group was less than(356.56±53.24)ml in the control group, and the hospitalization time of(8.10±1.89)d was shorter than(12.25±3.61)d in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)in the control group were(2.29±0.35)and(15.53±2.12)points,while those in the observation group were(2.13±0.33)and(14.51±2.44)points.Compared with control group,VAS and ODI scores in the observation group were lower after treatment, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).After treatment, the height of the anterior and posterior margins of the intervertebral space were(11.52±2.13)and(7.22±1.35)mm in the control group,and(12.05±2.31)and(7.95±1.53)mm in the observation group.Compared with the control group, the height of the anterior and posterior margins of the intervertebral space were higher in the observation group, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of OLIF in the treatment of LDH has a significant effect, with minimal intraoperative bleeding volume and fast postoperative recovery, which can be promoted.
