The effect of intrahospital preparation Biyuanqing capsule as an adjuvant treatment on the improvement of symptoms and recurrence rate in patients with allergic rhinitis
Objective To explore the effect of intrahospital preparation Biyuanqing capsule as an adjuvant treatment on the improvement of symptoms and recurrence rate in patients with allergic rhinitis.Methods 65 patients with allergic rhinitis were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into a control group(32 cases)and an observation group(33 cases)according to different treatment plans.The control group was treated with cetirizine hydrochloride tablets and Tongqiao rhinitis granules,while the observation group was treated with cetirizine hydrochloride tablets,Tongqiao rhinitis granules and Biyuanqing capsules.The nasal symptom score before and after treatment,improvement time of nasal symptoms,recurrence of rhinitis within 12 months of follow-up,and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After 2 courses of treatment,the scores of nasal itching,sneezing,runny nose and nasal congestion in both groups were lower than those beofre treatment;the scores of nasal itching,sneezing,runny nose and nasal congestion in the observation group were(0.45±0.51),(0.58±0.50),(0.42±0.50)and(0.55±0.51)points,which were significantly lower than(0.72±0.46),(0.84±0.37),(0.88±0.34)and(0.81±0.40)points in the control group(P<0.05).The improvement time of nasal itching,sneezing,runny nose and nasal congestion in the observation group were(4.76±0.56),(4.36±0.49),(6.21±0.74)and(4.30±0.47)d,which were significantly shorter than(6.25±0.57),(6.16±0.57),(7.94±0.80)and(6.00±0.67)d in the control group(P<0.05).After 12 months of follow-up,the recurrence rate of rhinitis in the observation group was 15.15%(5/33),which was significantly lower than 50.00%(16/32)in the control group(P<0.05).Both groups of patients did not experience serious adverse reactions during the treatment.Conclusion The application of the intrahospital preparation Biyuanqing capsule as an auxiliary treatment for allergic rhinitis can quickly and effectively alleviate the symptoms of rhinitis in patients,reduce the recurrence rate,and is worthy of promotion and application.
