Clinical effects of Yuan Xingshi's prescription Jichuan Yanshou Ointment in the treatment of functional constipation with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome in the elderly
Objective To explore the clinical effects of Yuan Xingshi's prescription Jichuan Yanshou Ointment in the treatment of functional constipation with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome in the elderly.Methods 70 elderly patients with functional constipation with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome were selected as the study subjects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group based on random number table method,with 35 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with Yuan Xingshi's prescription Jichuan Yanshou Ointment,and the control group was treated with lactulose oral solution.The therapeutic effect,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,quality of life and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of 97.14%in the observation group was significantly higher than 80.00%in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores for the main symptoms of dry stool,difficulty defecation,deep pulse,and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores for minor symptoms of clear urination,pale tongue with whitish coating,abdominal pain and coldness in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the quality of life score of the two groups was higher than that before treatment,and the quality of life score of(88.14±5.62)points in the observation group was significantly higher than(74.05±4.37)points in the control group(P<0.05).There was no difference in adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group[2.86%VS 5.71%](P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of functional constipation with spleen and kidney yang deficiency syndrome in the elderly,Yuan Xingshi's prescription Jichuan Yanshou Ointment can effectively improve the therapeutic effect,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,and the quality of life significantly.The medication is safe and reliable,and has significant application value,which is worthy of promotion and application.
