Diagnostic value of ambulatory electroencephalogram in patients with epilepsy secondary to cerebral infarction
Objective To study the diagnostic value of ambulatory electroencephalogram in patients with epilepsy secondary to cerebral infarction. Methods 105 patients with initial onset of cerebral infarction were seen and divided into two groups according to whether they had secondary epilepsy or not,out of which 50 cases with secondary epilepsy were the study group and the remaining 55 cases without epilepsy were the control group. Both groups were subjected to ambulatory electroencephalogram, the detection of abnormal discharge and epileptic wave in different parts were compared between the two groups. Results The detection rate of abnormal discharge in the study group was 96.00%,which was higher than 9.09%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rates of epileptic wave in lobocortical area and deep white matter area were 80.00%and 78.00%in the study group, which were higher than 1.82%and 0 in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Ambulatory electroencephalogram has a high diagnosis rate of epilepsy secondary to cerebral infarction, which can effectively predict the onset and condition changes of epilepsy, and effectively and safely monitor whether patients with secondary epilepsy after cerebral infarction, which is conducive to the formulation of clinical diagnosis and treatment regimen and promote the rehabilitation of patients.
