Correlation analysis of clinical test indexes of different traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of female pattern hair loss
Objective To analyze the correlation of clinical test indexes with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in female pattern hair loss(FPHL).Methods 64 patients with FPHL were selected as research subjects, and were divided into damp-heat fumigation group(33 cases),liver and kidney deficiency group(31 cases)according to different traditional Chinese medicine syndromes. The abnormal thyroid hormone[triiodothyronine(T3),thyroxine(T4),thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)],sex hormone[follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2),testosterone(T),prolactin(PRL)]and the levels of E2,T,E2/T were compared between the two groups. The correlation of thyroid hormone with sex hormone in FPHL patients was analyzed. Results The percentage of abnormal thyroid hormone was 9.09%(3/33)in damp-heat fumigation group, and 3.23%(1/31)in liver and kidney deficiency group;there was no statistical significance in comparison of T3,T4,TSH test values between the two groups(P>0.05).The percentage of abnormal sex hormone was 27.27%(9/33)in damp-heat fumigation group and 32.26%(10/31)in liver and kidney deficiency group;there was no statistical significance in comparison of percentage of abnormal FSH,LH,PRL,T and E2 test values between the two groups(P>0.05).In addition,LH/FSH≥2 accounted for 1.6%(1/64),and polycystic ovary patients accounted for 1.6%(1/64,this patient LH/FSH<1).There was no significant difference in E2,T and E2/T levels between the two groups(P>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that T3,T4 and TSH had no correlation with FSH,LH,E2,PRL and T(P>0.05).Conclusion The peripheral blood thyroid and sex hormone test values of FPHL patients were basically in the normal range. No correlation is found between thyroid hormone and sex hormone indexes and traditional Chinese medicine syndromes. There is no correlation between thyroid hormone(T3,T4 and TSH)and sex hormones(FSH,LH,E2,PRL and T)in FPHL patients.
