The clinical value of MRI in the diagnosis of placenta previa with placenta implantation
Objective To explore the clinical value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of placenta previa with placenta implantation. Methods 70 patients with placenta previa were selected, and MRI and ultrasonography were performed on the patients respectively, and the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the two methods were compared with surgical pathology as the gold standard. Results Using surgical pathology as the gold standard,65 of the 70 patients were accompanied by placental implantation. The sensitivity, accuracy and specificity of ultrasonography were 49.23%,51.43% and 80.00%,and the sensitivity, accuracy and specificity of MRI were 73.85%,71.43% and 40.00%. The sensitivity and accuracy of MRI were higher than those of ultrasonography (P<0.05). There was no difference in the specificity of the two methods (P>0.05). Conclusion The application of MRI technology in the diagnosis of placenta previa with placenta implantation can effectively diagnose the disease, show more relevant signs, and provide more accurate data support for the later treatment of the disease,so it is worthy of promotion and use in clinical practice.
