Comparison of curative effect of tibial intramedullary nail and locking proximal humerus plate in treatment of tibial shaft fracture
Objective To compare the clinical value of tibial intramedullary nail and locking proximal humerus plate in treatment of tibial shaft fracture. Methods 60 patients with tibial shaft fracture were selected as subjects, and were divided into the control group(30 cases, treated by locking proximal humerus plate)and the observation group(30 cases, treated by tibial intramedullary nail)according to the random numerical table. Both groups were compared in terms of surgical indicators(operation time, intraoperative blood loss, fracture healing time, duration of hospitalization),postoperative joint function recovery[Hospital for Special Surgery(HSS)knee score,American Orthopaedic Foot&Ankle Society(AOFAS)ankle hindfoot score),and postoperative complications. Results The operation time, fracture healing time and duration of hospitalization were(71.45±6.58)min,(4.25±0.57)months and(11.05±1.85)d in the observation group, which were shorter than(84.35±7.14)min,(5.57±0.45)months and(13.45±1.58)d in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss of(95.83±24.44)ml in the observation group was less than(126.83±21.12)ml in the control group(P<0.05).1 month after surgery, the HSS knee joint score, functional score, pain score and alignment score of the observation group were(88.83±1.93),(44.23±1.36),(35.56±1.74)and(7.04±0.18)points,which were higher than(80.04±1.51),(38.83±1.46),(30.74±1.58)and(5.86±0.26)points of the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate of 10.00%in the observation group was lower than 33.33%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of patients with tibial shaft fracture, the treatment of tibial intramedullary nail is less traumatic, which is conducive to the rapid postoperative recovery of all aspects of function and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
