Comparison of the clinical safety of anterolateral and posterolateral approaches in the treatment of grade Ⅳ supination-eversion ankle fractures
Objective To compare the safety of anterolateral versus posterolateral approach for the treatment of supination external rotation stage Ⅳankle fractures. Methods 60 patients with supination external rotation stage Ⅳankle fractures were selected as the subjects of this study, and were divided into a control group(n=30)and a study group(n=30)according to random numerical table. The control group was treated with posterolateral approach, and the study group was treated with anterolateral approach.Postoperative care was given to both groups. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and length of hospital stay in the study group were(85.72±5.47)min and(6.64±1.31)d,both of which were shorter than(112.71±9.83)min and(8.49±1.52)d in the control group;the intraoperative blood loss of(106.83±12.59)ml in the study group was less than(146.72±13.26)ml in the control group;there was statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 3.33%,which was significantly lower than 23.33%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the posterolateral approach, the use of the anterolateral approach for the treatment of supination external rotation stage Ⅳankle fractures has better surgical indicators, lower complication rate and significant therapeutic effect.
