Exploration of the clinical effects of different repair techniques for treating patients with tympanic membrane perforation
Objective To analyze the clinical effects of different repair techniques for treating patients with tympanic membrane perforation. Methods 60 patients with tympanic membrane perforation were selected as the research subjects. The patients were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with microscopic tympanic membrane repair, while the experimental group was treated with endoscopic tympanic membrane repair. The treatment effect, quality of life, pain score,surgical-related indicators,pure-tone hearing threshold, complications and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of 96.67%in the experimental group was higher than 76.67%in the control group(P<0.05).In the experimental group, the amount of surgical bleeding of(7.62±0.52)ml was less than(15.52±1.15)ml in the control group;the operation time was(53.25±3.62)min and the hospitalization time was(3.14±0.35)d,which were shorter than(84.52±6.63)min and(4.82±0.68)d in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the pure-tone hearing threshold of(21.05±2.63)dB in the experimental group was lower than(29.83±3.65)dB in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of physical functioning,role-physical,bodily pain, general health, energy, social functioning,role-emotional,and mental health in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The complication rate of 6.67%in the experimental group was lower than 26.67%in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the comparison of recurrence rates between the two groups(P>0.05).The pain score of(2.25±0.36)points in the experimental group after treatment was lower than(4.36±1.05)points in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic tympanic membrane repair for patients with tympanic membrane perforation can effectively improve their hearing level and severity of pain, and ensure the quality of life of the patient's prognosis. At the same time,it can also improve treatment safety and promote the recovery of the patient's condition.
