Objective To analyze the serum expression levels of latent-transforming growth factor beta-binding pro-tein-2(LTBP-2)and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein(COMP)in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial in-farction(STEMI),and to explore their relationship with the condition and prognosis. Methods From January 2019 to December 2020,135 STEMI patients admitted to our hospital were regarded as the STEMI group, another 135 healthy people were regarded as the control group.STEMI patients were grouped into MACE group and non-MACE group ac-cording to whether major adverse cardiac events(MACE)occurred during 1-year follow-up after discharge;the expres-sion levels of LTBP-2 and COMP in serum were detected by ELISA;Pearson's method was applied to analyze the cor-relation between the expression of LTBP-2 and COMP in STEMI group;multivariate logistic regression analysis was applied to analyze the risk factors of postoperative MACE in STEMI patients. Results Compared with the control group, the STEMI group had an increase in LTBP-2 and COMP expression levels,as well as a history of alcohol con-sumption and smoking(P<0.05);levels of serum LTBP-2 and COMP in STEMI patients with Gensini score ≤38 points were obviously lower than those in STEMI patients with Gensini score>38 points(P<0.05);Pearson's meth-od analysis showed that the expression of LTBP-2 and COMP in the serum of STEMI patients was positively correlated(r=0.660,P<0.05);the number of STEMI patients with postoperative MACE was 30/135(22.22%),the onset time>6 h,the Gensini score>38 points, the proportion of Killip grades Ⅲ to Ⅳ,the number of implanted stents, and the expression levels of serum LTBP-2 and COMP in the MACE group were obviously higher than those in the non-MACE group(P<0.05);multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that onset time>6 h,Gensini score>38 points,Kil-lip grade Ⅲ~Ⅳ,number of stents ≥3,LTBP-2 ≥39.36 ng/mL and COMP ≥35.73 ng/mL were risk factors for postoperative MACE in STEMI patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of LTBP-2 and COMP in serum of STEMI patients are increased, and they are closely related to the severity and prognosis of STEMI patients.
