Objective To explore the changes of nine tumor markers in the serum of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and to analyze their correlation with blood glucose control levels(HbA1c and glycosylated albumin). Methods 131 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who visited the Tongzhou District of Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing Uni-versity of Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to September 2023 were selected as the study group, and 68 non-diabe-tes physical examiners who visited the hospital at the same time were selected as the control group.Compare the levels of 9 tumor markers, including NSE,CYFRA21-1,SCC,AFP,CEA,Ferritin,CA19-9,CA125,and CA15-3,in two groups.Use Pearson correlation analysis to examine the correlation between these tumor markers and blood glucose control levels(HbA1c and glycated albumin). Results The serum levels of CA19-9,CA125,CEA,and CYFRA21-1 in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the level of AFP was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The results of correlation analysis showed that HbA1c and glycosylated albumin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were significantly and positively correlated with the levels of CEA,CA19-9,and CA125 in serum(P<0.05).Conclusion The level of AFP in the serum of pa-tients with type 2 diabetes mellitus was decreased;tumor markers such as CEA,CA19-9,CA125,and CYFRA21-1 were elevated and partially correlated with blood glucose control levels.
