Study on Anti-Inflammatory and Analgesic Effects of Shenjiang Zhili Mixture
To explore the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Chinese veterinary medicine Shenjiang Zhili Mixture, this study established inflammation and pain models in mice. The inflammation model was created using xylene-induced ear swelling, and the pain model was established through the acetic acid writhing test and hot plate test.Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups:Negative control group(gastric lavage with saline),Positive drug control group(dexamethasone acetate tablets for anti-inflammation,enteric-coated aspirin tablets for analgesia),High-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture group(1 g/mL,0.4 mL),Medium-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture group(1 g/mL,0.2 mL),and Low-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture group(1 g/mL,0.1 mL),with 12 mice per group. After 6 days of continuous pre-treatment,the models were established, and ear swelling and inhibition rates were observed and calculated. The writhing latency period and pain inhibition rate were recorded, and pain thresholds were measured at different time points to evaluate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of the formula. The results showed that compared with the Negative control group, the Medium and High-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture groups and the Positive drug control group significantly inhibited xylene-induced ear swelling(P<0.01),with the Medium-dose group achieving the highest ear swelling inhibition rate(72%).In the acetic acid-induced writhing test, the latency period for writhing was prolonged, and the number of writhes within 15 minutes was significantly reduced in the Medium and High-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture groups and the Positive drug control group(P<0.05 or P<0.01).After 1.5 hours of the final pre-treatment,the Medium and High-dose Shenjiang Zhili mixture groups and the Positive drug control group significantly increased the pain threshold(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The results indicate that the Shenjiang Zhili mixture has significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, providing a reference for its clinical application.
