Structural Design of Prefabricated&Assembled Bridge Piers for Nairobi Expressway in Kenya
Nairobi Expressway Project in Kenya is one of the important projects of the Belt and Road,and it is the first demonstration project in East Africa to adopt prefabricated pier design and construction.Based on the construction conditions and characteristics of the project,summarize the design ideas and key points suitable for prefabricated and assembled bridge piers of local urban elevated bridges,study and compare the connection methods of components,and compare the economic benefits of prefabricated and assembled bridge piers with traditional cast-in-place bridge piers.It has reference significance for the construction of urban elevated bridges in the East African region in the future.
