Study on Setting Scheme of Curb Ramp at Urban Road Intersection
Curb ramp refers to a ramp located at both ends of the pedestrian crossing or crosswalk,which is convenient for pedestrians to enter the sidewalk in order to avoid the traffic obstacles caused by the curb of the pedestrian road.There are a large number of unreasonable phenomena such as steep slope,damage and loss of curb ramp,which cause inconvenience to pedestrians.It is necessary to propose a unified and reasonable setting method.Based on the analysis of the current situation of curb ramps in Shanghai,and the setting situation at home and abroad,this paper gives the size and structural form of the proposed design of curb ramps.At places where the pedestrian flow is not dense or the sidewalk width is not more than 5.0 m,the width of the front ramp of the curb ramp is 1.5 m.In densely populated areas or large commercial areas and square areas with sidewalk width greater than 5.0 m,the width of the front ramp of the curb ramp is 3.0 m.It is recommended that concrete,stone or asphalt be used as the structural form.At the same time,it is recommended to extend the sidewalk blind path to the entrance of the curb ramp,and set up a prompt blind path.
