During the expansion and renovation of old water plants,work such as cutting off large-diameter water supply pipes is unavoidable.If the water plant chooses to shut off the water supply for construction,it will affect the lives of surrounding residents and the operations of nearby business.The article explores a technical solution for non-stop water supply pipe blockage during the expansion and renovation of a water plant in Shenzhen.By analyzing renovation requirements,determining the location of the large-diameter water supply pipe blockage,calculating the water plant's storage capacity,establishing a feasible construction timeline for non-stop water supply pipe blockage,and devising a steel plate separation and welding plan,a multi-stage implementation approach was ultimately adopted to facilitate non-stop water supply pipe blockage.This method was extended to ensure that the pipeline blockage did not affect the water plant's external water supply.The pipeline blockage can be broadly categorized into the following stages:Stage 1:opening manholes,cleaning the inner surface of the pipeline,and measuring the actual cross-section;Stage 2:welding steel plate primary and secondary beams for subsequent steel plate fixation;Stage 3:dividing the steel plate into multiple pieces,each piece designed for easy manual lifting and welding,and completing the sealing in a bottom-up order.
