From Public Urban Service to Individual Demand Response:Thinking on the Design of Zhuzhou Railway Station East Square Comprehensive Development Project
With the increasingly perfect development of urbanization in China,as an important transportation hub of the city, the comprehensive development and utilization of the square area in front of the train station is also undergoing a transformation:from focusing on public urban services to focusing on individual demand response through refined construction. The design of the railway station square needs to consider factors such as the large number of services provided to the public, complex types, and diverse needs. These complex factors also lead to macro perspective design that is difficult to meet differentiated needs. In the design process,by switching perspectives and starting from individual needs,it is possible to break through the constraints brought by existing design techniques and bring new spatial environment perception and user experience. The article first points out the limitations of the design of railway station squares from a traditional perspective, and then proposes efficiency improvement, service facilities improvement, and spatial environment quality improvement plans that cater to individual needs.Taking the Zhuzhou Railway Station East Square Comprehensive Development Project as a practical case,it demonstrates the positive role of the design method of visual angle switching in improving urban functional environmental benefits.
