Isolation and Identification of Atrazine-degrading Strain Y204 and Its Toxicity Alleviation to Atrazine in Sugar Beet
[Objective]This study aimed to study the toxicity alleviation effect of atrazine-degrading strain on sugar beet caused by atrazine.[Methods]In this study,8 strains of fungi with strong growth ability were obtained from soil samples taken from maize fields where atrazine was applied for a long time by enrichment and separation method, and Y204 strain with the strongest atrazine degradation ability was screened by liquid chromatography, with a degradation rate of 31.1%.[Results]Through morphological observation and molecular identification, the strain was preliminarily classified as the endophytic fungus of plants(Talaromyces purpureogenus). The fermentation liquid of the strain was applied to sugar beets with atrazine residues in the way of combination of seed soaking and foliar spraying. It was found that the sugar content, yield and sugar yield of sugar beet treated with fermentation broth increased significantly compared with the control. The yield and sugar yield of seed soaking and foliar spraying(T4)and seed soaking without foliar spraying(T3)were all outstanding. The yield and sugar yield of T4 were 74864.08 kg/hm2 and 11749.23 kg/hm2,which were 18.85%and 35.01%higher than the control, respectively; The yield and sugar yield of T3 were 76691.66 kg/hm2 and 10787.90 kg/hm2,which increased by 21.74%and 23.97%compared with the control, respectively. The sugar content of T4 was 15.69%,which was 1.89 percentage points higher than that of the control.[Conclusion]The atrazine degrading strain has broad application prospects in the sugar beet industry.
