Study on the Impact of Agro-meteorological Disasters on Sugarcane Production
Sugar occupies an important position in China's economy. In recent years, there has been an annual shortfall of about 5 million tons of sugar in China, which needs to be imported from abroad to barely ensure a balance between supply and demand,so it is of great significance to speed up the development of China's sugar industry.Sugarcane,as the main raw material for sugar production in China,is susceptible to natural disasters and other factors, and its yield and quality are affected.By analyzing the influence of agro-meteorological disasters on sugarcane production in China, this paper puts forward suggestions such as developing and promoting multifunctional and environmentally friendly water retention agents, rationally applying exogenous phytohormones, providing timely and accurate meteorological early warnings, providing farmers with professional and technical guidance, and strengthening the construction of agricultural irrigation for reducing the damage to yield and quality of sugarcane by agro-meteorological disasters.
