Grey Correlation Analysis of Main Agronomic Traits in Sugar Beet
[Objective]To elucidate the influence of the main agronomic traits and quality of different sugar beet varieties on sugar yield, and to identify suitable sugar beet varieties for promotion in Ili River Valley,[Methods]a comprehensive analysis of the agronomic traits of 27 sugar beet varieties(lines)was carried out by combining analysis of variance(ANOVA)and grey correlation analysis.[Results]The highest yield of sugar beet was'JTD202'(93 976 kg/hm2),while'HI0064'had a lower yield(93 950 kg/hm2);The top five varieties for yield were in the order of'JTD202'>'HJTD201'>'BTS6870'>'BTS5940'>'BTS4880';'MA3023'performed the highest sugar content of 15.78%,and sugar beet'KUHN4092'had a lower sugar content of 12.09%,and the top five varieties for sugar content were in the order of'MA3023'>'BTS6870'>'XJT9923'>'HI0064'>'KWS0023'.The correlation of each trait to sugar yield was in the order of sugar content>number of leaves>plant height>root perimeter>root head diameter>root length>leaf area per plant>root yield. The main factor affecting sugar yield of sugar beet was sugar content.[Conclusion]In the Ili River Valley, sugar beet varieties'JTD202','HJTD201'and'BTS6870'show high yield,while'MA3023','BTS6870'and'XJT9923'are high-sugar types, and the above varieties are suitable for demonstration and promotion.
